Fall kickin in

Hey guys. It's been a while - hope you're all doing great. I'm currently blogging from the passenger seat of my boyfriend's car. We're driving home to Copenhagen after a long weekend visiting my family in Jutland. It was his first time meeting my family and it went great. Well.. Expect for me nearly coughing up my lungs and/or drowning in snot. Having the flu is so delicious.

Anyway, fall has arrived and it's beautiful and I've started taking more pictures again lately, so if my boyfriend keeps urging me to blog, maybe I'll start posting more frequently. In all honesty, I never stopped feeling like a blogger or grew tired of doing this. The makeup artist part of my life just really took over the past year and a half. Have a lovely week everyone.

It's the time of the season

Oh boy, it's been a while hasn't it? Woops! I guess there would be plently of excuses, but I'm not going to use any of those. I'm in love, I'm a live, the sun has been shining and work is great. This year's Roskilde Festival was my favorite one so far - I feel like I finally learned how to design the festival so that I get the most fun out of it. Already very excited about next year. I'm currently drinking a cider, enjoying my first day off in 12 days, looking at places to travel with my bestie next month and waiting someone very special to arrive so we can cuddle and watch Ted (I totally thought it was a movie for kids?!) before going to see the sequel in the movies tomorrow night.

I dont know if I'm scared of dying but I'm scared of living too fast too slow

I just returned to work after five days of vaction spent visiting my lovely grandparents, secondhand shopping, eating way too much food and enjoying more quiet surroundings - the fuzz of working in central Copenhagen is something I love, but sometimes smaller towns can be refreshing. I've also managed to go (rainbow) blonde for now after struggling to remove ye good ol' purple hairdye that left a very unpleasant green tint in my hair. But I have a brand new bottle of Special Effect's Cupcake Pink waiting for me, so it probably won't be long until I return to my natural hair color - baby pink. Are you guys enjoying the spring weather kicking in?

I feel like it's time to get personal with another little life update to follow up on the one I did back in early july. So the past six months have been amazing. And crazy. And just so unbelievable. I feel like I've accomplished so much, both on a personal, but also a professional level. As you guys know, I was very happy working with Makeup Forever, but in september I was headhunted by Urban Decay who offered me an even better job as a makeup artist on the first ever Urban Decay team in Scandinavia. It's been a huge honor to help bring this amazing brand to Denmark, and as you can see from some of the pictures above, I'm so happy with my new team, boss and colleagues in general. This new position has and will make it easier for me to establish myself and do the things I really want to do.

As I mentioned in the earlier life update, getting a new apartment was a huge turning point in my life as well, but now five months later, this small apartment in a dorm is beginning so seem slightly cramped - not to mention the fact that it takes me roughly an hour to get to work. But I'm moving on saturday. An amazing lifesaver with a great big heart offered me a big, two bedroom apartment with a cute little balcony and a spacious kitchen where I can paint my walls lovely pastel colors and actually exist. It's also gonna be so much faster for me to get to work, and I'm lucky enough to have such great friends in my life who offered to help move my stuff, without me even asking. 

When I go to bed at night and realize all the good that's happening in my life, I can do nothing but fall asleep with a smile on my face. I guess making an actual effort to work hard on accomplishing the things you want really does work! Meeep, next up - home decor inspiration post! My fingers are tingling to get started! ♥

Mondays are a lot more fun when you don't have to leave your bed

Having a slow monday in bed with Netflix, music, yummy food and no real clothes is a pretty nice way to start a very busy and exciting week. I also decided that it was time to return to my pink hair - as always. I think pink is the color I've had for the longest now and also the color I feel most like myself in. Now I better get back to my How I Met Your Mother marathon :P Come by Makeup Forever in Sephora tomorrow if you wanna have your makeup done! 

Tribal makeup for work

Since regular blogging is on hold for now, I figured I might as well try to post some makeup looks for work. Today the Makeup Forever girls and I picked a tribal theme - you can see all of us on instagram here - and this is what I wore, besides a nude lipstick that I didn't have at home. This was kinda put together last minute and I was running out of several products, but the final result reminded me a bit of the girls from Rasputina, so I'm not complaining.
