Beauty Favorites | New video

Just uploaded a brand new video after a seven month hiatus. Phew. I'm shocked at how easy it is to edit on my MacBook so I felt a little something inside that makes me want to post more. Now. Or tomorrow. Or very, very soon. Here's what I was wearing in the video:

Dress from nelly.com
H&M necklace gifted from my colleages
Nail polish is L'Oreal Island In The Sun

Half Baked, High, Beware, Riff and Buck eyeshadow from UD
24/7 Perversion liquid liner from UD
Urban Decay Trap lashes
Urban Decay Sheer Obsessed lipstick

Oh, I also dyed my hair back to pastels. Really liking this purple/pink combo right now. I will probably always return to these colors I think.

Spring mixtape

I'm back with another mixtape like the one I did back in 2011, only this time it's much longer and filled with a lot more different music ranging from really old country to more modern day electronic + a whooole lot of genres in between. It's a bunch of my most favorite songs this spring that are all currently making me happy and describing my mood. I hope you guys will enjoy and perhaps find a new song or two that you love! Click here to go listen to the mixtape.

Girls just wanna have fun

So in all honesty this weekend was supposed to be low key and was meant for healthy food, lot's of sleep and studying, but receiving a text from my DJ friend about a huge big 80's party at Jolene in The Meatpacking District kinde forced me to change plans. Who can say no to a party like that? I've had the most amazing time and nothing can really lift your spirit like 80's music and dressing up as the lost member of Jem & The Holograms. Whether or not going with nude legs in three degree weather was a smart idea is debatable, but I'm pretty sure those irish coffees that I had kept my blood hot. Wooop.

Winter break photodiary

Starting the winter break off with bright sunlight, warmer weather and much happiness before leaving home
to go stay with my family for a while..

Seeing my most favorite person on this planet, my littlebrother, and just getting to chill with him win over him in beer drinking competitions was perfect. Oh, and also trying real hard to selfie, you guys..

Then spending time secondhand shopping with my grandmother in Haderslev, which has the best secondhand shops ever, baking the banana cupcakes I posted about around christmas for my family, and really getting time to reconnect with myself, before..

Visiting these lil babes in Kolding. We went to grab a sunday beer at Knud's, but..

Obviously we ended up having a small sunday party at Christine's alotment garden.

Slightly hungover, but not really, we decided to go out and enjoy the amazing weather. Eating lunch by the creek, getting my usual vanilla chai latte and shooting outfit photos for you guys. We also decided to get best-friend-tattoos, but gave up on finding a proper place to get them, so we went home, drank tea, watched Absolutely Fabulous and New Girl before picking up yummy asian food and just having a gurls night in.

We celebrated the return of spring with a bottle of martini on the terrace before I went back to my family for another few days..

And after a very emotional week trying to let go of someone special to me..

Doing a lot of retail therapy, removing all colors from my clothing rack, and watching way too much Orange Is The New Black has been the only things I've been feeling like doing.

But now it's monday, the winter break is over, a busy week is ahead of me and sleeping in my own bed after two weeks does feel pretty good. What have you guys been doing in your winter break?

Did makeup on Zebra Katz for Vice

On friday I had the pleasure of doing makeup on American rapper Zebra Katz who you might know from this song that I've been more obsessed with than I care to admit. I brought black glitter for glitterbrows and a rather funky hat-type-thingy, but we ended up just fixing the skin a bit, adding some slight contour and putting some color on the brows. All products used are by MAC. He was interviewed by my friend Danika from Vice Denmark and you can find the article + credits right here. Both photos belong to Vice Denmark.

Current music love

I have been listening to a lot of peaceful, cheerful, slightly electronic music lately. No idea why, but it put's me in this certain mood that has made me so happy the past few weeks. There's a few great channels on youtube that only post music like this and my favorites are thesoundyouneed and majestic casual. Here's a bunch of my most listened to tracks, I really recommend this music if you're feeling stressed or just need something to chill too.

10 Christmas favorites

Scented candles with deep, yummy scents of vanilla and chocolate. I'm loving the Tindra collection from IKEA. They've been burning in my room for almost two weeks and the smell never get's old or overwhelming. The cream colored one smells like waffles and vanilla ice cream, and I definitely need to restock soon.

I can't get enough of big, fluffy, faux fur pillows to cuddle up with while watching movies or reading blogs, it adds such a warm and cozy feeling to the room and helps you stay hot too. I bought a big pillow similar to the white one in IKEA and the colorful ones I found at Amazon.

Hot chocolate, lot's of it. It's really an essential for me during christmas time and I love how you can make it your own. Some favorite ingredients of mine: soy milk or almond milk, vanilla ice cream, cinnamon, chopped chocolate either white or very dark to sprinkle on top and even served with belgium waffle sticks on the side. Yum!

Christmas gift shopping! It's a perfect way of getting in the right christmas mood. I've personally been doing a lot of my gift shopping online this year (you're free from the hazzle of screaming children, too many people in the stores and having to walk around looking for just the right thing + you can sit inside with your fluffy fur pillows and drink hot chocolate!)

Allowing yourself to watch at least a few of your favorite holiday movies. Mine includes The Grinch, all the Home Alone movies and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Playing around in the magical first snow that, if you're lucky, sometimes fall in december. Winter wonderlands are amazing and even though getting hit by a snowball - yes this actually almost happened to my friends and I this weekend - going for a long walk and getting lost in the snow will always be an amazing thing.

Baking beautiful christmas treats, cakes and goodies. Christmas is the one time of year where I really allow myself to eat too many sweets and I've found a few really lovely vegan recipes that I'm going to try out. My littlebrother will be visiting next week before going on the grand family visiting tour, so I'm going to wait until next week with going bakery crazy. I'll be sure to post the recipes that I like on my blog.

Making the perfect playlist with all your favorite christmas and holiday songs to play for you and your family on christmas eve and the days before and after. If you're too lazy or don't have time to make your own, there are a ton of nice on already on youtube. Here's one paired with a fireplace video. Doesn't get much better than that, huh?

The perfect sweater. There is nothing better to wear in christmas time, and a sweater can do so many things. No matter if they're thick knitted, ripped, lavender or any chocolate/earth/cinnamon color or even raindeer printed, this is a must have for me. They don't even have to be ugly and christmas like.. But they can be. All sweaters picked at romwe.com and sheinside.com

Ah, the final, but not to be forgotten thing on my list - glögg. Also called mulled wine in english, is mostly, I think, a nordic christmas tradition that I remember drinking in both Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. It's made by redwine, different spices and raisins and you drink it hot in the winter months! Everyone make it differently, and there's a ton of other ingredients you can add to make it more personal. I just need this for christmas, it kinda completes this whole month. Have any of you guys tried it? And what are some of your christmas favorites?

Sunday look + music love

Hey guys! Happy sunday! I've been home for one week now and I feel wonderful, I'm even starting to miss Copenhagen a little so that must be a good sign. Sunday relaxation

I'm back from Roskilde Festival! Came back yesterday two days early, but one week of trash, noise and partying was more than enough for me. I've just been enjoying hot showers, clean sorroundings, shamelessly wearing my hair in a bun, no makeup, soft pillows and sleeping in my own bed. I also have no plans for today besides listening to Billie Holiday and reading magazines haha. In a minute I'll upload a photodiary of my festival week and tomorrow I'm gonna make a vlog + a liitle something exciting!

Here's a little music that I'm loving today -

SUNDAY MUSIC LOVE

Just some lovely music I'm currently listening to all the time.
Tonight is being spent on getting my hair ready for tomorrow, I've dyed my hair and my extensions and need to treat it soon and get it glued in! Super annoyed though, because the new years outfit I ordered from sheinside.com in the beginning of december has still not arrived, and if it's not gonna come tomorrow, my outfit plans are sort of ruined :(

SAD ANIMAL SUNDAY

Yesterday was tough. My boyfriend and I left each other after almost two years. We kissed, hugged and said goodbye as good friends. Today I'm spending my time finding beautiful items on etsy.com, listening to music and nursing my hangovers.

Some music for your listening pleasure

Style icon Siouxsie Sioux.

If you watch my videos on youtube you probably have noticed that I'm having a major Siouxsie And The Banshees obsession at the moment, so I thought I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures of the wonderful Siouxsie Sioux with you. I can't even begin to explain how many pairs of fishnet stockings I have ripped to pieces to wear them on my arms and how many times her voice have made me both cry, and laugh. Siouxsie And The Banshees was probably one of the first ''goth'' bands I started listening to almost 10 years ago and through this time she has been a huge inspiration to me. Siouxsie has inspired me so much both style wise but also me as a person and I think she (and her band) is going to be one of the very few bands I will never grow tired of.

I love the roughness and darkness of her look and the way she did her makeup and hair has - mostly - been to die for. I think her style has been an inspiration for many and she usually took the 80's to the dark side. Also I think she is one of the few women to really made androgony fabulous. Anyway enough talking, now take your time to enjoy these beautiful pictures and have a look/listen at these beautiful songs.
