DIY | Flintstones bone necklace

Here's a fun, little DIY project that I wanted to share with you guys. I've always had a thing for The Flintstones and that whole cavewoman look, especially if it's in a more cartoon-ish and not so serious way. Kinda like Jeremy Scott's SS10 collection, which was just perfect. Anyway, something about brown beads and nylon string kinda offends me, so here's a quick DIY on how to turn cheap halloween jewelry into actual, wearable accessories (if you're into this sort of style, of course!)

Remove the nylon string from the face of earth and paint the brown beads black with your magic marker. They will need to dry for a bit, otherwise they can stain the plastic bones. And well, your fingers. I used a bobby pin to hold the beads so my hands wouldn't get all black and magic marker-y.

Arrange the bones and the beads nicely - meaning turn the bones the right way, so the ''made in China'' logo won't show, since this was obviously too big a job for the manufacturer to handle themselves - and also take one long bone from one of the bracelets that comes with the jewelry set and put in on the chain.

And there you have it. Your very own, very fancy bone necklace. Perfect for.. Well, people who's into kitchy things and may or may not be cavewoman/stoneage/Flintstones obsessed. I'm saving the rest of the extra bones for future DIY's and also use the earrings that come with the set for everyday wear - all I did to those was changing them from clip-on earrings to having a hook. So much more comfortable now that they don't squeeze my poor ears.

HALLOWEEN NIGHTS

Oh last night was so much fun, I went to a halloween party at my friend Fie's place with a costume (more like just makeup) heavily inspired by Illamasqua and mermaids. I ended up actually just looking like a freak of the night, but nonetheless I spent the night with sweet people, loud music and the finest whiskey on earth. I woke up at 10PM so it must have been a good party.

Last Minute Halloween Makeup + DIY Fake Blood!

I decided that I had to do better on the halloween videos this year so I wanted to show you guys how to easily get a creative and scary look for all the halloween parties without having to spend a lot of time and effort doing it. It's basically made from old makeup laying around and stuff most people can find in their kitchen. And let's be honest, who doesn't love being covered in blood and makeup a few times a year? Fake blood, that is..

Happy Halloween.

Since Halloween is on a monday this year I'm sure a lot of people celebrated this weekend or the next, so I just wanted to share a few Halloween inspired pictures to set the mood. I went to Copenhagen to Black Cat Halloween on friday and then und saturday I went to another halloween party on The Rock and later that night on a gay club called Club Christopher. So I've been enjoying myself and having fun with friends while being dressed as a black cat. Maybe I will actually go celebrating halloween again on friday, but we'll see.

Halloween memories.

Just thought that I wanted to share a few Halloween pictures with you. These pictures are from the previous three years. Last year I was dressed as a ghost, and I kinda liked my costume/outfit. Still haven't figured out what I'm going to be this Halloween. Have guys found your costume? And what are you gonna do for Halloween?

Cropped skeleton shirt.

Wearing old skeleton shirt and Miss Selfridge lace tights

I found this old skeleton shirt while looking through my clothes and it made me think of good old days. I remember one of my best friends a couple of years ago also bought this shirt and we cut them in different styles. The funny thing about them is that they glow in dark, so you can probably imagine how much fun we have had with that. Also I think dressing up a bit halloween-inspired is okay in October. Or any other time of the year, just saying..

Vampire costume inspiration.

Okay, so I'm thinking about doing these costume inspiration post until Halloween? What do you guys think? Anyway, this is some ideas for vampire costumes. I hate just going into a shop and buy a complete costume, putting things together yourself is so much more fun and I've been thinking about being a vampire for halloween for years. I want it to be classy, with white skin, blood red lips, laces, diamonds, and sexy black clothes. A romantic, dark vampire. Oh, it could be so much fun! '

Ps. Does anyone know how to get rid of the frames here on blogspot? I hate that all my pictures are framed!
