Nelly shopping for new work clothes

Pearl London lace dress - Motel shorts - NLY Shoes metal heel boots - NLY Shoes faux suede pumps - Ax Paris kimono - Motel daisy crop top

Just placed a little order on nelly.com for some new work clothes, cause as you guys know, I recently started working for Makeup Forever and since we have to wear all black I thought it would be okay to stock up on some new items. I'll make the lace dress more casual by pairing it with black tights and boots for an everyday look and the rest of the items are just nice basics to mix and match with stuff I already have in my wardrobe + some more basic items on their way from eBay. The daisy top isn't really suitable for work, but I love daisies, Motel and it was only $12 so I couldn't resist. I'm getting so excited about fall fashion and hiding in big faux fur coats, loads of layers and deep fall colors. You guys feel the same?

Kimono love at Ark Clothing

Lately I've been completely obsessed with the idea of kimonos. Not the traditional Asian kimono, but the more modern day style that can be worn casual as everyday wear. I have been all over eBay and my usual favorite online stores to find the perfection selection but without any luck, until..

discovering Ark Clothing. They have the perfect selection of kimonos in all the different lenghts, shapes, fabrics and prints you could ever want and imagine. I'm not sure if it's the festival season that just started here or my slight love for 90's looking outfits lately that have me obsessed, but my god, I want all of them.

What I love most about kimonos is their way of being really versatile. They can add that perfect touch of grungy-ness to your outfit or be super girly worn with creams, pastels and flowers in your hair. What I especially love is that they allow you to wear very minimal clothes during those really hot summer days - heeey Roskilde Festival, I'll see you in six days - but without feeling too exposed. They act as a sort of comfortable cover-up and at the same time make your outfit look cool. Bonus.

I've picked out my favorites for you guys and now I just need to decide which one I should get and bring with me to Roskilde. All the kimonos range from £15 to £45 so there is definitely something for everyone - you can go check out the entire selection over at Ark Clothing. Which one is your favorite?

Tuesday Outfit

H&M headpiece - secondhand dress - H&M ring - wedges from Shoe Biz

Today is one of those days were minimal makeup and a very dark lip is all I need. I kinda love this lip color. It's from Stargazer so it's very cheap, but still one of the best black ones I have ever found. It's also one of those days where 90's music and messy hair is appreciated. This look is very gloomy if you consider the fact that everything I'm wearing is Mie Maja's since she's one of the most colorful people I know, but I guess that's what's so great about clothes - you can make it your own and create a personal look with it.

I think tonight will be spent in the bathtub with a glass of redwine, candles and music. Have you guys had a nice tuesday? I'll be back tomorrow with another outfit post - probably a more colorful one!

Monday Outfit

DIY daisy headband - secondhand necklace - reworked secondhand dress - secondhand belt - secondhand shoes

I have officially moved into Mie Maja's apartment to stay for the week! As promised I'm doing daily outfit posts for you guys with clothes from her wardrobe. The weather is PMSing today - it changes from pouring rain to blue sky and sunshine, so Mie Maja's kitty and I had a little nap this afternoon while waiting for it to get better. It never really did, so what better way to bring back spring than to wear lot's of florals, gold and bright colors? I'm definitely enjoying my stay here (having an apartment with bathtub + balcony to yourself is just amazing) and I can't wait to share another outfit with you guys tomorrow! Now it's time for Sex & The City and more kitty cuddles before bedtime. Have you guys had a good monday?

Oh, ps. I'm also putting a song of the day in every outfit post this week, so feel free to listen to it while checking out the posts. See you tomorrow!

Malibu Barbie Part I

Secondhand scarf - secondhand sunnies - H&M earrings - gifted necklace - secondhand swimsuit

What a grey day after a cozy sleepover at my fabulous friend Mie Maja's new apartment turned into. Malibu Barbie vibes, exotic flowers and a bathtub photoshoot. I fell in love with this secondhand swimsuit. Even though it was a bit too big, we decided to just go with it and make it look like I have actual boobs, which felt both strangely unnatural and looked surprisingly good at the same time. Everything used in these photos are Mie Maja's.

Next week I am moving into her apartment while she's away, to take care of her kitty, water her plants, take long baths and enjoy the sun on her princess balcony. I will also be raiding her fabulous wardrobe and create daily outfit posts for you guys while staying there. Might also be guesting her blog but updates will follow. Part two of this Malibu Barbie shoot will be up soon, so keep an eye out and sorry for being away for a while - lot's of fun stuff coming shortly! xo

Outfit | Dots and roses

Sheinside shirt - vintage scarf - Romwe skirt - secondhand heels - eBay sunnies

This outfit should probably be called how-to-dress-inappropriately-in-windy-weather. I may or may not have flashed at least one hundred innocent people today - by accident, of course! Also I couldn't be more happy with my new, black hair. It just feels so natural and right at the moment and something about it made me wanna dress in a more romantic way today. Big mistake if you take the weather into consideration, but I love all these pieces paired together.

Outfit | Secondhand madness

Secondhand scarf - Holy Malice sunnies - secondhand coat - second hand dress - Miss Selfridge clutch - secondhand pumps

I went out for lunch and catching up with one of my best friends from Kolding where I used to live yesterday in what at first felt like early spring weather, but turned out to be so, so cold. You can almost tell how much I'm freezing in the photos, haha. Most of the outfit was bought last week while secondhand shopping with my grandmother. I've been finding so many secondhand treasures lately, and this faux fur is just perfect for my collection. I also have a love/hate relationship with this dress - love the print, cut and colors. Kinda hate the material and the way it looks on. Bummer, but for so cheap I really don't mind at all. So much looking forward to spring kickin' in, hopefully any day now. How's the weather where you guys live?

Small DIY home decoration idea

A few weeks back I had some time to kill while waiting for the bus and decided to spend it in a cute little secondhand shop where I found this picturebook on how to do flower decorations. It had loads of pretty photos and I decided to make it into a DIY home decor project - do you guys remember my vintage barbie photos? I want to do something similar with these photos for my new apartment. I love doing kitchy little projects like this, since it's a lot more personal and cheap than actually buying pre-made stuff for your walls! Now I just need more frames that I can paint mint green.

Latest eBay finds

Vintage sunflower pants - oversized gold chain necklace - lace ancle socks - chunky gold earrings

Just a few of my latest eBay finds I've won or bought this week. My obsession with gold jewelry has returned and I've been searching all over eBay for perfect pieces. Also I have obsessed a little over sunflower print and highwaisted pants so winning the pair above for no more than $4 were a joy. Ancle socks are just fun and I needed a new pair. Yep, that's about it, but perhaps this should be a weekly thing, can't stop looking through eBay, ever.

Flower prints for spring.

I've been pretty hooked on flower prints for the past couple of months and seing it becoming more and more trendy is just my luck since it makes it so much easier to get my hands on it. I just really like clothes with a 70's or 80's vibe so usually I would just go second hand shopping to find stuff like this. Massive, funky flower prints will be big this spring/summer so I wanted to make a few outfits showing you how I will style it - I definitely think it's a must for me to mix it with black, edgy items such as my spiked Jeffrey Campbell Lita's that hopefully will arrive in may, and in general keep it cool and dark. I do like pastels, flowers and girly stuff, but my love for black will never die.

I've been considering using a bigger text? Do you like it or not?
