Monday inspiration

This week I'm all about metallic clothing, faded pink hair (I totally just ordered pink hair dye again), 90's Kate Moss, grid nails, black lingerie and cute socks in cute shoes. I'm also addicted to ice cold green tea - add a bag of green tea to one liter of water and store in fridge over night - Siouxsie And The Banshees, Biotherm Liquid Glow serum + bingewatching Grimm on Netflix. I have a serious crush on David Giuntoli.

Chloe Nørgaard model love

Goodness me, it's been so long since I did one of these model love posts, but lately I'm returning to my blog-roots and that feels really good. One model that I could absolutely never miss on the blog - and who's been on here before - is the fabulously colorful Chloe Nørgaard. Half American, half Danish (woohoo, proud Dane here!) she grew up in the states and became a tumblr style icon a few years back when she dyed her hair blue and everybody kinda went crazy. In interviews she seems like the most chill girl to be around and generally just like a creative and free spirit. Oh, and how could you not be happy when looking at such a colorful person? I definitely find it hard to stay blonde for a little while longer and not go My Little Pony on my hair.

Monday inspiration

I think we can all use a little inspiration to get our butts in gear on these sometimes awful monday mornings, so I think I'm gonna make this a weekly thing starting now. Personally I'm kicking off this week with a 12 hour work day. Let's go.

This week I'm mesmerized by albinism in humans and animals. I find the lack of pigment amazingly beautiful and I'm more than tempted to grab a bowl of bleach and bleach my eyelashes too. Also fairytale makeup, unpredictable pops of color, flushed cheeks, over-accessorizing and all shades of pink mixed together will be on my mind all week. Are you guys starting to get spring feelings too? 

Kimono love at Ark Clothing

Lately I've been completely obsessed with the idea of kimonos. Not the traditional Asian kimono, but the more modern day style that can be worn casual as everyday wear. I have been all over eBay and my usual favorite online stores to find the perfection selection but without any luck, until..

discovering Ark Clothing. They have the perfect selection of kimonos in all the different lenghts, shapes, fabrics and prints you could ever want and imagine. I'm not sure if it's the festival season that just started here or my slight love for 90's looking outfits lately that have me obsessed, but my god, I want all of them. 

What I love most about kimonos is their way of being really versatile. They can add that perfect touch of grungy-ness to your outfit or be super girly worn with creams, pastels and flowers in your hair. What I especially love is that they allow you to wear very minimal clothes during those really hot summer days - heeey Roskilde Festival, I'll see you in six days - but without feeling too exposed. They act as a sort of comfortable cover-up and at the same time make your outfit look cool. Bonus.

I've picked out my favorites for you guys and now I just need to decide which one I should get and bring with me to Roskilde. Spring mixtape

I'm back with another mixtape like the one I did back in 2011, only this time it's much longer and filled with a lot more different music ranging from really old country to more modern day electronic + a whooole lot of genres in between. It's a bunch of my most favorite songs this spring that are all currently making me happy and describing my mood. I hope you guys will enjoy and perhaps find a new song or two that you love! DIY | Flintstones bone necklace

Here's a fun, little DIY project that I wanted to share with you guys. I've always had a thing for The Flintstones and that whole cavewoman look, especially if it's in a more cartoon-ish and not so serious way. Kinda like Jeremy Scott's SS10 collection, which was just perfect. Anyway, something about brown beads and nylon string kinda offends me, so here's a quick DIY on how to turn cheap halloween jewelry into actual, wearable accessories (if you're into this sort of style, of course!)

What you will need:
Bone jewelry set
Silver chain necklace
Black magic marker

Remove the nylon string from the face of earth and paint the brown beads black with your magic marker. They will need to dry for a bit, otherwise they can stain the plastic bones. And well, your fingers. I used a bobby pin to hold the beads so my hands wouldn't get all black and magic marker-y. 

Arrange the bones and the beads nicely - meaning turn the bones the right way, so the ''made in China'' logo won't show, since this was obviously too big a job for the manufacturer to handle themselves - and also take one long bone from one of the bracelets that comes with the jewelry set and put in on the chain.

And there you have it. Your very own, very fancy bone necklace. Perfect for.. Well, people who's into kitchy things and may or may not be cavewoman/stoneage/Flintstones obsessed. I'm saving the rest of the extra bones for future DIY's and also use the earrings that come with the set for everyday wear - all I did to those was changing them from clip-on earrings to having a hook. So much more comfortable now that they don't squeeze my poor ears.

I may or may not have gone a bit overboard with my eBay and etsy shopping lately, but I have very valid excuses for once. Also it's been forever since I did one of these eBay shopping updates, so I thought now would be a good time to start again. I've tried to link to everything, but since some of these items - like the Jeffrey Campbell shoes and Wildfox clothing - were one of a kind items I won, I've just linked you guys to the specific sellers.

I've officially banned myself from shopping until next month, cause we really just can't risk becoming eBay addicts, right? So my watch-list is getting longer and longer and in reality I should just log off the internet so I won't be tempted. Did you guys find any interesting treasures on eBay lately?
